Cutest girls from the recital, Kate, Meg and Jessie!! More grandchildren to follow.

The view from "The Landings" resort where we stayed. People here run from the rain and don't swim. Boy are they missing out!

We were there for a zone conference and I took this picture, got the boy's home phone numbers and addresses and came home and called all the moms I could and sent them pictures of their missionaries. It was sweet to get to know them. Their moms were really excited when I talked to them and I even got a postcard from Holland in return.

We've always wanted a summer cabin and I think this might be the floorplan we've been looking for. Picture this little cutie in the tall pines, and the building, too! Steve begs to be in all the pictures he can.

This is Marla's dream kitchen in St. Lucia. Who could as for anything more? She whips up some mean zone conference lunches and meals for everyone who stays with them. Check out the propane tank hooked up to the stove. When we remodel I want to switch to propane because it doesn't smell and it isn't the least bit dangerous.

We had a blast!! We are now professional "snarklers" even tho' Steve looked a little "special ed" with his mask pinning his ear against his head. We swam with best of 'em baby. I discovered it's better to keep your fins in the water instead of on top so you can move faster in the deadly current. Sorry, no picture of that sight--just imagine it.
We spent June 30 - July 7 in St. Lucia, West Indies Mission, with our dear friends Marla and D'Wayne Sherwood who are serving a mission there. We had a great time and I learned why senior couples need to go on missions from observing them. The people love them and they love the people. Hopefully we can serve like they are now in the future. Here are Steve and Elder Sherwood (D"Wayne) at the Coal Pot restaurant in St. Lucia, a Sherwood favorite. The fish was great. Steve and D'Wayne both looked svelte but still really old! (Now don't forget that I have to try to be funny so don't get crazy!)

This is the shabby little 1800 sq ft resort where we spent a few glorious days. It was beautiful and had a great view of the beach. I don't think the Garden of Eden was EVER in Missouri--please.....this island is beautiful.

I told Steve to put on a lot of sunblock but he wouldn't listen. Someday he'll learn.

This man is Claudius and the snake is hissing at this well groomed older lady. Marla kept telling me to put it around my neck but this was the best I could do. All three of us smelled, too.

A view from the top of the island. This island is one of Oprah's favorite 10 things. Maybe she should go on a mission!
